Dealing with death can be a hard time, with many difficult feelings, and lots of questions and anxieties. Whether or not you (or the person you've lost) are regular attenders, the church can offer support and help during those difficult days. A service can be held in the Church and / or at a crematorium / cemetery. A minister from the church will meet with you, talk you through planning the funeral service, and can help with any questions or concerns. If you would like to discuss the possibility of a Christian service, the first thing you should do is tell your funeral director / undertaker who will explain what to do.
There is useful information about planning for a funeral on the Church of England funerals website.
There is a churchyard at St Peter's, but as it's full there is no space for further burials. These links will take you to information about the cemeteries at Mays Lane, Earley and Henley Road, Reading.
