Earley St.Peter's
Church Groups
Scout Hall Group
Different learning styles, other ways of worshiping, differing needs. We are all different - some finding the informal services helpful, others the formal. We are all part of Earley St. Peters Church - social groups, the children and young people, groups with a specific purpose. Our website and the helpful folks at the back of church at the end of the services can help you find a setting in which to worship, care, share and grow.
One of the groups which provides an alternative is the 'Scout Hall Group'. As the name suggests, we usually meet in the Scout Hall - however, just to confuse matters, for the time being we are meeting in the Church Hall ! The group meets just before 10am for a hot drink on Sundays Then follows 35 to 40 minutes of fellowship, informal worship, learning from the Bible and each other with led discussion and prayer. We usually join the congregation part way through the 10am service (you'll see us join the left aisle, to join with the congregation in the Eucharist service). The group runs each week except the first Sunday of the month when there is Parish Praise informal Sunday service in church. If you would like to try an informal smaller group to worship with, and still be part of St. Peters, you are welcome to come along. Contact Mary via the Parish Office for further details.
