Earley St.Peter's
Church Groups
Mary Heart
An invitation to set time aside from
the demands of a busy world
What is
it?
A Sunday morning group which meets
together to worship God, to read a passage from the bible, discuss it, reflect
on it and pray.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to ask questions,
explore, learn together about the spiritual journey applied to our lives.
What does the
name mean?
In Luke 10, two sisters illustrate
two aspects of our spiritual journey and our dilemma–
being anxious about many things in the
busyness of life/spending time with the Master.
Having a Mary Heart recognises that
service flows from what we receive from God.
Ultimately, Mary gave all that she
had and Martha recognised who Jesus is. Both are about having a Mary Heart.
Is it part of
the church?
Yes. It’s a different expression of
meeting together. The group is endorsed by Derek, our Vicar.
When and Where?
10 am on Sunday mornings (not the first Sunday in the month) for approximately
an hour.
Once a month we join the rest of the
fellowship in church to share Communion.
