Earley St.Peter's

Church Groups

Mothers' Union

We get involved with the  PCC  and local church affairs generally and try to develop our own spirituality. Our MU Prayer reminds us that we are a World Wide Fellowship.

St. Peters’ Branch currently has 66 members - our programme covers a wide range of topics which have included Drug Awareness; The Samaritans; Medical Bygones and Holiday Experiences – we also enjoy a day out now and again and produce delicious lunches for members and friends. We are fortunate in having the support of our clergy who lead our special  services and give us an insight into their own ministry at St. Peter’s.

The Mothers' Union has its own prayer which reminds us of our own fellowship, and as you read it, you too may derive some comfort from the words:

The Mothers’ Union  Prayer
Loving Lord
We thank you  for your love so freely given to us all.
We pray for families around the world.
Bless the work of the Mothers’ Union
As we seek to share your love
through the encouragement, strengthening
and support of marriage and family life.
Empowered by your Spirit,
May we be united in prayer and worship,
And in love and service
Reach out as your hands across the world.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen
